【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesalaboratorytestfordeterminingtherelativecarpetdirtremovaleffectivenessofresidentialcentralvacuumcleaningsystemswhentestedunderstandardconditionsandonrepresentativetypesofcarpets.Thislaboratorytestmethodmaynotgivearepresentationofcarpetembeddeddirtcleaningeffectivenessinthehome.Inordertoprovideauniformbasisformeasuringperformanceasdescribedin1.2,standardizedtestcarpetsandstandardizedtestdirtareemployedinthisprocedure.Theresultsreflectanon-loadedcleaningcapabilityandmaynotberepresentativeofcleaningcapabilitiesunderdirtloadingconditions.1.11.1nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Thistestmethodcoversonlyalaboratorytestfordeterminingtherelativecarpetdirtremovaleffectivesofresidentialcentralvacuumcleaningsystemswhentestedunderspecifiedconditions.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoresidentialcentralvacuumcleaningsystemsintendedforcleaningcarpets.1.3Thistestmethodappliesonlytoembeddeddirtremovalfromcarpets,nottheremovalofsurfacelitteranddebris.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.X1.1.1Thepurposeofthistestistodeterminearatioofacarpet-embeddeddirtremovaleffectivenessandahome-carpetembeddedremovaleffectivenessratingwhichcanbeusedforcomparingoneormorevacuumcleanersagainstastandardvacuumcleaneranddeterminingcorrelationwithlaboratoryASTMtests.Theresultsarerepresentativeofthegeographicareacoveredbythetesthomes.
