【摘要】:ThepurposeofthispartofIEC61300istodescribeatesttodeterminethesuitabilityofafibreopticdevicetowithstandtheenvironmentalconditionofhighhumidityandchangeoftemperaturewhichmayoccurinactualuse,storageand/ortransport.Thetestisprimarilyintendedtodeterminethesuitabilityoffibreopticcomponentsunderconditionsofhighhumidity-combinedwithcyclictemperaturechangesand,ingeneral,producingcondensationonthesurfaceofthespecimen.Absorptionofmoisturemayresultinswellingthatwoulddestroyfunctionalutility,causelossofphysicalstrength,andcausechangesinotherimportantmechanicalproperties.Degradationofopticalpropertiesmayalsooccur.Althoughnotnecessarilyintendedasasimulatedtropicaltest,thistestcan,nevertheless,beusefulindeterminingmoistureabsorptionofinsulatingorcoveringmaterials.
